WONDERLAND

LOOK FOUR: THE UNICORN

THE UNICORN

The look consists of a flowing white silk chiffon gown inspired by the ceremonial coronation robes of queens, reimagined through the lens of fantasy and fairytale. The silhouette is anchored by a dramatic ten-foot train that trails behind the wearer, while long floor-length sleeves drape gracefully like a regal nightgown. A self-tie bow finishes the neckline, allowing the gown to be worn either loosely open or neatly tied. Endless layers of white marabou feathers trim the gown, adding softness, movement, and an ethereal texture that seems to float with every step. Completing the transformation, the wearer dons a handcrafted unicorn headpiece featuring a sculptural horn mounted atop a vintage 1940s beaded cap, embellished with strands of vintage Swarovski crystals salvaged from an antique chandelier. In one hand, she carries a gilded candlestick to illuminate her path through Wonderland, while on her feet she wears custom hoof shoes crafted from white pony hair with a sculpted split toe, merging the elegance of couture with the anatomy of the mythical creature she embodies.

LOOK FOUR —The Unicorn

Look Four, The Unicorn, embodies purity, untamed magic, and the quiet melancholy that often accompanies fantasy. Inspired by The Last Unicorn, this look explores themes of mortality, transformation, and the realization that beauty is made meaningful by its impermanence. Throughout mythology, unicorns are celebrated as symbols of innocence and grace, but they are equally revered as creatures of immense power—wild, elusive beings that cannot be possessed or controlled. They exist beyond the human world, representing a kind of magic that remains just out of reach.

Within the narrative of Wonderland, the Unicorn serves as a reminder that dreams, like life itself, are fleeting. In The Last Unicorn, the immortal unicorn willingly takes human form, discovering love, grief, and regret before realizing that these experiences are what give life its beauty. This paradox deeply resonated with me. To dream is to embrace both wonder and vulnerability, understanding that even the most magical moments cannot last forever. The Unicorn exists between these two worlds, carrying both innocence and wisdom as she journeys through the dreamscape.

The unicorn has long been associated with intuition, spiritual guidance, and impossible possibility. Across many cultures, dreaming of a unicorn is considered an exceptionally rare occurrence, believed to symbolize profound transformation, extraordinary luck, or the presence of untamed creative energy. Within my collection, the Unicorn represents that rare and magical moment in a dream when anything feels possible—a creature that guides the dreamer deeper into Wonderland, where fantasy exists without limitation and beauty is found precisely because it cannot be held onto forever.

"I have been mortal, and some part of me is mortal yet. I am no longer like the others, for no unicorn was ever born who could regret, but now I do." — The Last Unicorn
