Embracing the confusing and sometimes devastating nature of feeling out of place in reality, and the feeling of being “too much” in regular spaces, my work takes up entire spaces, refuses to fit in doorways, and must be accommodated despite being inconvenient. This reflects my personal experience that sometimes when you don’t feel like you fit into the world, you must create your own. Out of this isolating feeling, beautiful things rise. My garments read as beautiful, but the wearer feels a sense of power and bravery that cannot be described. there is strength in BEAUTY.
